Julia Leigh Brooks, 74 of Maysville, KY. passed away on March 2nd, 2022. Julia was surrounded by loved ones at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Ft. Thomas KY. Julia was born on July 11, 1947, in Maysville KY. the daughter of Wanita Simpson and Ben Lowe, a WWII veteran and the son of the late Judge Harry Lowe. Julia lived in Flemingsburg to be close to her roots and lifelong friends. She was preceded by her mother Wanita Simpson and her father Ben Lowe. She is survived by her three sons Robbie Maher, Brian Maher, and Jarod Rosenthal, four sisters Jeanie Wallace, Connie Toller, Brenda Willet, and Cathy Hart and two grandchildren Amanda Maher and Colton Maher. Upon High School graduation she married her sweetheart Jim Maher, had two sons Robbie and Brian. Julia valued loyalty honesty and authenticity. She met her second husband Martin Rosenthal and had a son, Jarod Rosenthal. She was involved in musical and theatrical groups and enjoyed writing manuscripts. Julia worked in Real Estate and represented the STP Racing as Miss STP at stock car races. She was an avid student of medieval Italian history and enjoyed astrology, it tapped into her strong spiritual senses. Our hearts are broken by this unexpected loss. Julia was a one of a kind and will be missed by all of those she has left behind. Services to be held at CrossPoint Community Church (825 Kenton Station Rd) Maysville, KY. On March 26th at 11am.
