Darren “Bear” Wilder 64 of Cold Spring, Kentucky passed away Tuesday December 24, 2024, at his residence. He was born on May 26, 1960, in Bangor, Maine to the late James Milton Wilder and Sylvia Annette “Mimi” (Alford) Wilder. Bear worked as a bartender at Grand Vic/Rising Star Casino in Rising Sun, Indiana, was a Poker dealer at Argosy/Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, was a Dual Rate Dealer/Supervisor at Belterra Casino in Florence, Indiana, was a Poker Supervisor at The Isle Of Capri in Lake Charles, Louisiana, was a Dual Rate Poker Dealer at L’Auberge Casino in Baton Rouge and Lake Charles, Louisiana. He currently was working as an IT Technical Support Specialist at Chipotle Mexican Grill traveling all over the country installing point of sale systems for new stores, which he truly enjoyed. When not working he enjoyed deer hunting and watching his favorite football team the Houstons Texans.
Bear will be deeply missed by his wife of nearly 17yrs, Jeanette “Blondie” (Schaefer) Wilder, his daughter Cheryl Ferguson of Ona, West Virginia, his stepson Steven Johnson of Brookville, Indiana, his sister Vicki Prior of Houston, Texas.
