Nancy Younce Volmer, 77, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2024, at The Christ Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 23, 1947, in Williamson, West Virginia, Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.
She graduated from Belfry High School in 1965 and married Richard Volmer in 1972. Nancy worked at the University of Cincinnati for 24 years, retiring in 2010. She enjoyed bird watching, reading, writing poetry, and spending time at her cherished lake house.
Nancy is survived by her sister, Patricia Scott; children, Barbara (Jason Gibson) Volmer and Susan (Chris) Marshall; stepchild, Codi (Richard) Strauss; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her siblings John, Fannie, Thelma, Judith, and Mary Catherine.
